Enrolment

At St Bede’s School, we warmly welcome families who are considering our school for their child. We invite you to meet with us, tour our school and discover the rich learning opportunities and supportive community that make St Bede’s such a special place.

 

We believe that a child’s education is a true partnership between home and school. When families and educators work together, children thrive. During your visit, we look forward to getting to know you and your child, hearing your hopes for their learning, and sharing how we can support them to grow, belong and flourish at St Bede’s.

Children must turn five years of age before April 30 in the year they are commencing school.

Enrolment Process

2027 Prep Enrolment Process

1.  Completion of St Bede's School Enrolment Application form 

2.  Submitting Enrolment Application form with all the required documentation and a $200 enrolment fee (non-refundable) to the Office - 2026 Prep Enrolment Applications are due by March 31st. 

3.  An interview with the Principal and/or Deputy Principal will be required (beginning Monday 20 April, 2026)

4.  2027 Prep students will be invited to participate in 4 Transition sessions held towards the end of 2026. These sessions will support their transition as they prepare to become Preps at St Bede's School in 2027.

5.  Attendance at our Prep 2027 Welcome Mass held at 5:30pm later in the year.

6. Prep Parent Information Night held in the latter part of the year. On this night, our School Leaders and Prep teachers will outline what St Bede's School has to offer your child and all you need to know to be really for the first day of school. This evening is for parents only.

St Bede's is a school which operates with the consent of the Catholic Archbishop of Melbourne and is operated and governed by Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd (MACS). MACS governs and operates 292 Catholic schools in the Archdiocese to continue the mission of Catholic education to proclaim the Good News and equip our young people with the knowledge, skills and hope to live meaningful lives and enrich the world around them. Because the good work of educating the young is a co-responsible task led by every member of the Catholic school community, School Advisory Councils have been established to provide a crucial point of connection between the wider school community and school leaders. This governance model was designed to ease the administrative burden on our schools and parishes, allow parish priests to focus on the mission of education in the parish, enable greater collaboration between schools and ensure greater consistency in school policies and procedures.
