In Years 1 and 2, our teaching and learning focus is on building strong foundations in literacy and numeracy while nurturing each child’s curiosity, confidence and love of learning. Students develop essential skills in reading, writing, speaking and mathematics through engaging, hands-on experiences and explicit teaching. Learning is enriched through inquiry, creative opportunities and collaborative activities that encourage students to think, question and explore. Within a supportive and nurturing environment, we also prioritise social and emotional development, helping students grow as confident, capable learners who feel a strong sense of belonging in our school community.
